Other Lure Types We Sell
If a lure is not a soft plastic or a hard body, it is in here. Metal lures, blade vibes, jigs, squid lures, spinnerbaits, and spinners each work at different depths, with different techniques, or for different target species. The categories below break them out by type.
A Note From Our Local Experts
"The lures in this section tend to get overlooked by anglers who build their kit around soft plastics and divers. A metal slice cast into a school of feeding tuna or salmon could out-fish a soft plastic because it sinks fast, casts far, and flutters on the drop in a way nothing else replicates. Blade vibes are consistently one of our fastest-moving lines in freshwater lures — yellowbelly, redfin, and bass anglers come back for them regularly. Squid jigs are their own category entirely — if you want calamari on the table, you'll need a good jig."

What's in Each Category
✔
Metal Spinning Lures: Metal slices, slugs, and casting spoons. Cast long distances, sink fast, and work at any depth in the water column. The standard lure for pelagic species including tailor, salmon, tuna, and kingfish when fish are feeding on bait schools near the surface or at depth.
✔
Blade Lures & Vibe Fishing Lures: Sinking lures designed to be worked vertically or cast and retrieved along the bottom. The vibration and flash produced on the drop is the trigger — blade vibes account for a significant portion of our freshwater lure sales for yellowbelly, redfin, and cod.
✔
Jigging Lures: Slow-pitch and speed jigs for working deep water over reefs and pinnacles. Jigging targets snapper, kingfish, amberjack, and other reef species at depths where casting lures cannot reach. Jig weight is matched to the depth and current conditions.
✔
Squid Jigs: Weighted prawn-shaped lures with a crown of upward-facing pins at the tail. Worked with a lift-and-drop action to imitate a fleeing prawn. The only reliable method for targeting calamari and arrow squid on lures — nothing else substitutes for a proper squid jig when squid are the target.
✔
Spinnerbaits: A wire frame lure with a spinning blade above and a skirted jig head below. The blade produces flash and vibration on the retrieve. Used primarily for bass, Murray cod, and yellowbelly in heavy timber and snaggy cover where most other lures would foul immediately.
✔
Trout Spinners: Inline spinners with a rotating blade around a central shaft. The flash and vibration of the blade trigger strikes from trout in rivers and streams. Mepps and similar inline spinner designs have been a consistent trout lure for decades across Australian alpine fisheries.
✔
Fly Fishing Flies: Dry flies, nymphs, and streamers for fly fishing applications. Designed to imitate insects, baitfish, or invertebrates, depending on the pattern. Used with fly fishing tackle — not compatible with standard spinning or baitcasting setups.
✔
Bulk Value Packs & Cheap Fishing Lures: Multi-lure packs and budget-priced individual lures. Practical for stocking up when fishing snaggy ground where losses are frequent, or for trying a range of styles before committing to individual lures at full price.
