1. GST

Please note that all prices displayed on our website include GST within Australia. However, if you are overseas by default the initial price displayed may still contain GST of 10% so to see our exclusive of GST Tax pricing, first add a product to cart, then click view cart, click estimate shipping and add your country state and post code and calculate, then refresh the page and the cart will then recognize you are from overseas and show you the correct pricing.

You can then remove the product from the cart and start shopping! If this sounds too complex, contact us and we will quote you. By the way, if you are from overseas and haven’t done this step, don’t worry; the cart removes GST when you check out.

2. COMPETITIVE PRICING

We keep all of our product prices competitive and as cheap as possible. However, should you find a cheaper price, please see here.

3. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

We understand that sometimes it is hard to know exactly what you are getting online, and that sometimes you order a product online and it is not quite what you want. So we have an Easy Returns Policy – See Here.

4. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We prefer credit card transactions for overseas orders outside of Australia, as we are able to better position ourselves and monitor against fraudulent transactions via fraud blacklisting and monitoring technology. We will also happily take a bank transfer on request. We also take PayPal as a method of payment for international transactions.

As we are based in Australia, currency rates are an estimate only. Banks and payment gateways can charge a conversion rate fee. As currencies also fluctuate second by second, there may be a difference between the invoice and the charge rate for international transactions.

If delivery is outside of Australia, for some countries, your government may impose a customs levy or tax; we have no idea about these and whether you will or will not get charged tax. You will need to investigate this before you order. Our freight estimator or calculate shipping and tax estimator only removes Australian GST from pricing and does not calculate any import duties or taxes in those international countries that impose them. Import duties and taxes are your own responsibility.

5. PRIVACY POLICY

We store for any such period of time when you place an order through our secure server, your name and personal contact details that you submit when placing an order on our site. If placing an order, you may be automatically subscribed to our mailing list, which we do not use under any circumstances other than to promote our products or services only to the subscribers.

We do not sell under any circumstances, nor do we forward your details on to unassociated third parties. However, we use your name, address and phone number to provide the parties involved with the delivery of the order.

Also, we use a chargeback insurance and fraud validation service called Signifyd. We may be able to provide Signifyd access to details for the sole purpose of double-checking that the order placed is genuine for your and our security. Details may also be forwarded if an order is believed or found to be fraudulent regarding credit card payments or other payment methods. Therefore, we may forward the details supplied to the banks, the Police and any other party that has an interest in the event of a fraudulent transaction.

When you visit our website, our web server automatically logs certain non-personally identifiable data about your visit. This data consists of the time of your visit, your domain name or IP address, the browser and the operating system you use, the pages you visit and any links you follow to or within our website, etc.

We have many partners that display advertisements to you from third-party websites. If you have come directly from one of these third-party websites, they may use information tracked through the affiliate service provider (but have no access to your name, address, email, telephone, or payment method details). As we use affiliate marketing through certain channels, the affiliates may access your order number if an order is placed, the sale amount, and products ordered, but do not get access to any personal, personally identifiable or financial information you may have provided. We pay these third parties a commission for the order, or in some circumstances, a cost per click.

in operating our store, it is essential for us to capture some information about your device, such as your IP address and information related to your visit when you browse our store. For example, this might include a time stamp, the last page or product you visited, or the indication that you logged in.

We do that in order to:

Order information you expressly provide:

If you want to buy from this website, we will need specific information from you as our customer to fully process your order, so we need to collect personal data like your full name, email, shipping and billing details etc. We may also send you a message about your purchase and ask you to review the products. You provide this data to us through the checkout page before you choose to finalise your purchase with payment.

Accounts:

We allow account creation at our store, which will remember your information. We allow you to withdraw from holding an account at any time. Contact us, and we can delete it.

Incomplete Purchases:

Suppose you started to purchase a product from our website and did not complete, in case you may have entered partial information like your email. In that case, we may send you a communication to remind you about completing the purchase. You can unsubscribe from the abandoned cart communications via the opt-out option in the email at any time.

Personalization:

We use specific data related to your visit on our website, and we use this data to provide you with a personalised experience. We capture this info via cookies.

How we process your information:

We use an external provider to run our store, BigCommerce. BigCommerce is based in the US and is a participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and is committed to providing best-in-class service and data protection. You can check its participation in the Privacy Shield here on the official site of the International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Department of Commerce. Through BigCommerce, we also use other highly specialised external providers to provide the most competitive services. Partnering with highly specialised external companies lets us focus on what we do best: selling great products.

How can you control your personal data?

Suppose you are one of our customers in the EU, and we are specifically selling our products to the Member State where you are located. In that case, you have specific rights that we are honoured to enforce without undue delay: Access, Correct, Erasure, Port, Object. If you cannot exercise your choice on your account page or do not have an account with us, please reach out to us at the contact details at the bottom of this page. We will be more than happy to help.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data for as long as you have an account with us. We also keep some data for security investigation. Most importantly, we have specific obligations for fraud detection and tax reasons. Therefore, we might need to retain certain data even if you ask to delete it.

6. SECURITY

When you shop on our online fishing store website, you will find that our website is safe and secure. We have the appropriate SSL Certificate and are HTTPS-compliant. Regarding payment processing, we do not get access to any full credit card data; this is all restricted and not shown to us in our merchant facility. Only the first few and last few numbers and expiry date are shown to us. Full credit card data is blocked from our viewing.

7. DAMAGED GOODS

We use a range of shipping agents such as TNT, Australia Post, Startrack Express, and Fastway Couriers. If any goods arrive broken, please get in touch with us and we will happily discuss the return of your item for a replacement.

For delivery time, we usually ship pretty quickly; however, service times for delivery can depend upon where you are located and the method of service we need to use for the goods you have ordered. If you would like an estimated delivery time, contact us.

8. ONLINE PRICING ONLY

Our pricing online is sometimes cheaper than our ticketed in-store prices. Please note that if you are local to our area, prices listed on this site, any email you receive, or any other online marketing channel we use are "online prices and deals only" and may not usually be honoured in store.

Any orders placed online where click and collect is not selected cannot be picked up and will be shipped.

In addition, fishingtackleshop.com.au gift vouchers purchased can only be used online and cannot be redeemed at our physical store. Vice Versa, any gift vouchers bought in person at our physical store can't be used online.

9. COUPON CODES

If at any one time we decide to run promotions where multiple coupon codes are available, only one coupon code can be used at any one time and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or code. You will need to choose the one that best suits you.

10. Product information

On our website, there are category pages where products can be added to cart directly and may not have product info or disclaimers displayed - and then also there are detailed product pages that can be clicked on from a category page (navigating to a detailed product page) where full information on the product can be found, as well as any disclaimers, etc. It is up to the purchasing individual to navigate to the detailed product pages and read the information and any disclaimers provided before they purchase to ascertain if the product(s) are suitable for the individual’s requirements.
