Squidy Prawn Lures(Wriggler Tail Or Paddle Tail)
Let’s face it. The prawn is just about the most crucial staple of many of our most well-known fish species. It’s hard to think of a fishing application where a prawn won’t do the trick, or at least give you half a chance. Even mostly vegetarians like Luderick have been known to take the odd prawn.
It’s certainly not uncommon to hear of Kingies over the 5kg mark and more considerable, taking a humble prawn. Barra love them, Aussie Salmon, Tailor, Flathead, Bream, Jacks. It’s an endless list.
The early artificial prawns left a lot to desire, and they were more gimmick than effective bait. These days, however, the soft plastic revolution has delivered us a range of plastic prawns that have left the soft plastic fraternity in amazement with their astonishing ability to attract fish of all species, and in numbers.
The Squidguies Paddle Prawn or Wriggler tail Prawn for sale is incredibly exciting for a fish and impossible to leave alone. Add a smear or two of Squidgy S-Factor fish attractant, and you will have the deadliest prawn in the harbour bar none.
Suitable for ultra-light to light and medium fishing applications the Squidgy Prawn fishing Lure is an excellent bait. Coupled with the appropriate jig head, you can fish a range of conditions and environments and, it’s just as happy down deep as it is when fished around the surface.

As you know already, a prawn is such a broad and versatile bait that many anglers use for many situations from fishing inshore through to offshore.
The 110mm paddle prawn is a lure designed for use in the freshwater to imitate either a cherabin shrimp or yabby. In the saltwater, its design resembles the humble saltwater prawn.
Squidgy 110mm paddle prawn lures make an excellent lure option If you fish for barramundi, cod, snapper, mulloway, mangrove jack, fingermark or anything else that would readily take a large king prawn or shrimp as part of its diet.
Best Squidgy Prawn Lure Colours
When you have a good idea of the depth you’ll be fishing the only tough decision when it comes to the paddle or wriggler tail is the colour will you use.
Firstly, as there are only a few in the range so if your budget allows for it then it would be best to own all colours, then you know you’re covering your options for various fishing scenarios.
Fish, mainly Barra or bream, can often be strangely choosy, where hard and fast colour rules don’t always apply. However, it’s still best to start by the book before you experiment and your best option is to go for a much darker colour when the water is murky. When the water has a high level of clarity go for the lighter or more natural shades.
Before you cast, make sure you dab on some Squidgy S-Factor. The scent will turn your Squidgy Prawn lures into a beast. It’s something akin to fishing with Dynamite. Make sure you get all the colours, then get out and experiment, mixing it up with different jig heads.
