Product Description

Shimano Revolution Spinning Rods 702SNPR Snapper Boat Rod For Sale

The Shimano Revolution 702SNPR Spinning Rod is a performance, mid-priced Snapper rod definitely built for with sports angler in mind. As part of the Revolution Inshore range the 702 is actually designed to be used offshore, specifically for targeting Snapper. Rated at 3 to 6kg you will be fishing light, more than likely using braid and probably dropping soft plastics at big reds with big bumps on their heads. The 702SNPR is super lightweight and includes the Shimano split EVA but assembly ensuring top rated ergonomics for fatigue free fishing sessions.

At 2.1 meters it’s a comfortable length on most boats with the 2 piece construction allowing for easy transport and storage. This length, coupled with the Torqay high modulus graphite blank provides fantastic leverage allowing the light rod to dominate heavy species.

At Fishing Tackle Shop we are definitely big fans of matching kit for purpose. That is, if you’re fishing for Snapper, use an outfit that is specifically designed for catching Snapper, ergo, the 702. However, the Shimano Revolution 702SNPR Spinning Rod lends itself to quite a number of applications that make it a value for money purchase. This rod will be brilliant hunting Barra, ideal for fishing jetties and wharves and would make for some very easy fishing casting plastics and flesh baits into lakes for Whiting, Bream and Flathead while having all the power you need should a good sized Aussie Salmon take your bait.

The Shimano Revolution 702SNPR Spinning Rod for sale now is a dedicated Snapper weapon with the benefits of application flexibility. Build quality is, of course, outstanding. The feature list reveals top shelf inclusions. The 702SNPR is truly exceptional value whether you keep solely for sports hunting Snapper or deploy it in any number of situations, inshore and off. Take advantage of this great price and order yours now.

Fishing Application and Reel Suggestion Guide (An approximate guide only)

When you’re jigging the blue water you can expect anything from Kingfish, Tuna, to trevally and mackerel. Even if you are using a relatively small Jig. You want a reel that’s up to the challenge, plenty of line capacity and plenty of drag. For the RVLO55-100 consider an 8000-10,000 size spin reel. A 10,000 would suit the RVLO100-200. For the RVLO150-250 and the RVLO200-400 one could use a 10,000 through to the monster 25,000 size shimano reel.

Fishing Applications and Reel Suggestion Guide

Ideally, you are chasing Snapper from the reefs from your favourite vessel. Also keep in mind the other applications mentioned above. An ideal reel would be a spin reel size 3000, 4000 or 5000, with the latter being more appropriate for offshore Snapper work.

  • You will have a dedicated Snapper rod that will also work beautifully in a host of applications.
  • The Toray High Modulus Graphite blanks are super strong yet create sensational feel and responsiveness in a very lightweight package.
  • Fuji K guides are legendary for their line management properties. The Alconite inserts ensure they last.
  • The split EVA butt assembly promotes a ‘connected’ feel while mitigating against fatigue due to superior ergonomics.
