Shimano Revolution Spinning Rods 702SNPR Snapper Boat Rod For Sale
The Shimano Revolution 702SNPR Spinning Rod is a performance, mid-priced Snapper rod definitely built for with sports angler in mind. As part of the Revolution Inshore range the 702 is actually designed to be used offshore, specifically for targeting Snapper. Rated at 3 to 6kg you will be fishing light, more than likely using braid and probably dropping soft plastics at big reds with big bumps on their heads. The 702SNPR is super lightweight and includes the Shimano split EVA but assembly ensuring top rated ergonomics for fatigue free fishing sessions.
At 2.1 meters it’s a comfortable length on most boats with the 2 piece construction allowing for easy transport and storage. This length, coupled with the Torqay high modulus graphite blank provides fantastic leverage allowing the light rod to dominate heavy species.

Fishing Application and Reel Suggestion Guide (An approximate guide only)
When you’re jigging the blue water you can expect anything from Kingfish, Tuna, to trevally and mackerel. Even if you are using a relatively small Jig. You want a reel that’s up to the challenge, plenty of line capacity and plenty of drag. For the RVLO55-100 consider an 8000-10,000 size spin reel. A 10,000 would suit the RVLO100-200. For the RVLO150-250 and the RVLO200-400 one could use a 10,000 through to the monster 25,000 size shimano reel.
Ideally, you are chasing Snapper from the reefs from your favourite vessel. Also keep in mind the other applications mentioned above. An ideal reel would be a spin reel size 3000, 4000 or 5000, with the latter being more appropriate for offshore Snapper work.
