It’s here, finally Jackall has listened to anglers demands for a smaller surface crawler. Since the release of the larger Pompadour model’s anglers have been dreaming and wishing they would create a smaller surface crawler for targeting the likes of Australian bass, perch and lighter class of fish. That dream is now a reality. We introduce the Jackall Micro Pompadour Lure top water noisy bait.
Built at 42mm in size, its construction is such that it creates a very impressive commotion, side to side wobble and blooping noise. Australian Bass will engulf this little lure as it crawls across the water’s surface with one almighty surface strike.
What sets the Jackall Micro Pompadour lure apart from the other water crawlers on the market is its combination of metal wings (not plastic) which assist the lure to crawl and bloop and the metal propeller on the back of the lure that creates additional water disturbance, vibration as well as sound and action mimicking that of a distressed bug with wings such as a Cicada.
This is one little lure worth a position in any Australian Bass anglers box. However, whilst the Micro Pompadour is set to become one of the best lures for bass, it can be used to target other fish species as well such as the likes of perch, Murray cod, big bream and a host of other light classification fish species that will take a lure off the water’s surface.

How to fish the Jackall Micro Pompadour Lure
The best way to fish this lure is to cast it out, let it sit for a little bit before a retrieve, and then wind back at a relatively slow pace, it’s often a good idea to do a couple of turns of the reel then pause the lure again. So, a start and stop retrieve.
Where possible and especially through the day, fish over structure such as fallen trees, logs or weed beds where the fish are likely to be hiding out. Upon dusk when the fish are a little less shy and start to cruise around you can be less conservative on where you position your cast. Darker colours tend to be favoured by anglers if fishing into dusk. A great time to fish with a Jackall Micro Pompadour lure is when there are a lot of bugs around, especially cicada’s.
Metal wings have been placed on the micro pompadour for a couple of reasons, they are more durable than other brands that use plastic wings on their water crawlers, they offer better action and emit better sound.
Metal prop at the rear of the lure increases the amount of vibration as well as sound that the lure emits to further entice the fish from the comfort of its snag to take a swipe.
Double hook has been positioned on the rear of the lure to try and decrease line foul during the cast.
If you are looking for a new Bass surface lure make sure you position a Jackall Micro Pompadour lure in the top shelf of your lure box. They’re for sale now and going to be incredibly hot.
