The Samaki Boom Baits Mega Bomb Shad is made of high-quality plastic that can withstand repeated attacks that a lure like this would endure in the water. It uses a special 10X super stretchy material to maximize movement and provide maximum resilience against hard strikes. The ribbed section on the tail of the Mega Bomb Shad not only imparts extra motion but also allows you to apply a scent that will hold on the lure longer than if it were applied elsewhere.
Each pack includes two 7-inch plastic baits and one x 14-gram fish head jig head. The design of the bait is inclusive of a hollow belly so if you encounter a situation where you need to fish with a weedless presentation, such as in a billabong full of lily pads or a river full of fallen tree trunks, there is an option to retrofit a weedless hook of your own.

The lure can be fished in a number of ways depending on the situation. For example, if you were fishing around heavy structures like lilies or timber, then it's advisable to retrofit the lure with a weedless hook (not included). Another situation may be from the beach where you want the lure to sink deep and swim back toward you. In this case, it's best to fish the Mega Bomb Shad on the supplied heavy jig head so that it sinks quickly and with a slow-med-paced roll or lift and drop; you can bring the lure back to you with plenty of action. As always, experiment with different techniques until you find what works best in your local area.
