Daiwa Saltist X Rods

There’s plenty of high-performance fishing rods on the market worthy of re-mortgaging. The problem is, once your significant other realises the price on the receipt…divorce is not out of the question.

With a Daiwa Saltist X fishing rod, you can avoid this problem yet still enjoy absolute top-shelf performance, features and inclusions. A Daiwa Saltist X Rod is premium high-performance fishing, without the unreasonable, home-wrecking price tag. You may well get brownie points for your unusually conservative approach to your fishing budget.

Saltist X is the latest version of the famous Saltist range, and every model is an absolute knockout. They’re a must-have for the boatie, but some models will suit beach and rock anglers, as well as those anglers that chase a larger class of fish from piers, wharves and docks.

The HVF composite graphite blanks are enhanced Braiding X technology to increase hoop strength. Hardware includes ever-reliable Fuji reel seats, as well as Fuji guides, which are fitted with Fazlite inserts, offering lightweight strength and superior line management.

Daiwa Saltist X fishing rods are the epitome of strength, sensitivity and responsiveness in a lightweight package. You’ll struggle to find anything of this performance and pedigree at this price point.

Model 70M (Spin) - Strap a 4500/5500/6000 spin reel to the 70M. Spooled with 20lb, you’ll be chasing general reef species such as snapper and big mowies.

Model 70MH (Spin) - Typically suits a 4500/5500/6000 spin reel spooled with PE4/40 pound. Great for a larger class of reef dwellers such as mackerel and tuna.

Model 762H (Stick bait – Popper – heavy spin) is ideal for casting metal slices from 65 to 100 grams. Perfect from the boat or land, you’ll get plenty of sport with a 5500/6500 spin reel strapped to it. We love this for casting poppers and stickbaits at kingies. Great too, for a smaller class of GT.

Model 802XH (Extra Heavy Popper / Lure Spin) requires a spin reel from 6500/8000. Fill it with 80 pounds and you’re after huge GT’s and kingfish as big as they grow. Cast massive stickbaits, sliders and poppers as heavy as 300 grams. Brilliant on land or in the boat.

Model 56-5/6S Boat Jig Rod - Whack 5000/6000 boat jigging 56-5/6S Spin Jig Heavy. Spooled with PE5 or PE6, expect Tuna and GT’s and every other pelagic that responds to a well-placed jig.

Model 64CJS Jig Spin Boat Rod - is a general-purpose legend for the boat. It’s excellent with jerk baits and spinners and will deal with a smaller ocean pelagic, or deliver hellish sports action on a medium class of predator. Great with a 6000 reel spooled with PE4.

Model 962H Heavy Shore Spin Rod - has some length and is therefore dedicated to rock and beach work. A 5500/6000/ spin reel is ideal when spooled with PE5. Chase everything from huge tailor, Aussie salmon, mackerel, mulloway and more.

Benefits

  • Fuji Fazlite rings deliver outstanding line management. The silky smooth surface is braid proof and reduces distance killing friction.
  • The HVF carbon blanks are treated with Braiding X technology to increase hoop strength. The blanks reach maximum density without sacrificing, responsiveness, sensitivity, and the lightweight feel.
  • Fuji reel seats are famous for delivering a slop free, vice-like grip on your reel. The lightweight construction transfers all the feel from the hook through the rod, to reel and to the angler.
  • The Saltist X provides serious anglers Daiwa’s premium, high-performance inclusions without the hinderance of the absolute top-shelf price point.

The Daiwa Saltist X Rods are the real deal. This is performance plus with every quality inclusion you need to tackle the oceans toughest, in style. Don’t stop at one. Create a brand new arsenal of Daiwa Saltist X Rods, and fish like you’ve never fished before.
