    Product Description

Shimano Raider Fishing Rods Snapper and Barra spin Series

The Shimano Raider Fishing Rods Snapper and Barra spin Series have enjoyed a cosmetic upgrade for 2016. They have returned to Fuji Guides, looking awesome with full length cork grip assemblies and overall present as a rod that would cost 5 times the price. Raider has always been a class act and as the Ian Miller designs evolve, so the popularity grows.

While priced a touch above entry level, the Raider is anything but entry level when it comes to performance. In any angler’s language, this is a serious piece of kit. Bottom line, any rod you start poking at monsters like mega Barra and Big Reds needs to be designed and built to handle some pretty extreme treatment. Such fish will make short work of ordinary rods.

There are a few in the offshore Snapper range from which to choose and a few Barra models that stand alone as a go-to utility for the Aussie Icon wherever they are found. Fast actions and cork grips provide an incredibly sensitive feel, yet the 24 Ton Tory Graphite blanks are loaded with grunt, ready to supply the brute force you will need against such species.

With the Snapper models you can fish as light as 4kg up to 8kg, with the Barra models amped up to handle a heavier line class of up to 10kg. Sometimes, when you’re tossing hard bodies into the sticks chasing Barra, a little extra capacity in your line can make all the difference.

Choosing your model will essentially come down to matching up and existing reel or a balance of line class to application. What are you targeting? and how much ‘sport’ do you really want?

With the Raider series, the value for money makes every model in the range a winner. It doesn’t get better in this class of rod. Whatever your fishing level or experience, the off shore Snapper range and Barra model will prove an awesome utility wherever you point it, from Tassie to the Tip and everywhere in between. Priced to sell and moving fast. Get yours now.
